Race Summary
The name says it all — challenge! If you’re looking for a race to make your legs come alive, this is the one for you. Our Tiger Peak Challenge will have you climbing two of Tiger Mountain’s peaks, and if that doesn’t satisfy your need for elevation, you can always run them again!
Located near Issaquah, WA, Tiger Mountain State Forest is a 13,745-acre working forest that includes the West Tiger Mountain Natural Resources Conservation Area. Tiger Mountain offers many recreational opportunities, including hiking; mountain biking; equestrian trails; hang gliding; paragliding; and, of course, some of the best trail running in the area.
Woodland Speeders Kid’s Race
As part of our new Woodland Speeders program, we offer free kid’s races at all of our events. Parents are welcome to run with their kids. You can register your child during the registration process for your own race or sign them up later. The course at Tiger is mostly singletrack trail, with some sidewalk/asphalt. There is a some elevation gain and the course is 0.9 miles long. See schedule below for start time.
Finisher swag
Every finisher at an Evergreen Trail Run event receives a custom, handmade coaster! We make our awards using solar power in Anacortes, Washington.

Race Notes:
Back to the old, great course for 2025!
We’ll be back to starting the event from the Issaquah High School again this year!
Runners will start in off from the Issaquah High School and head down a short section of the Rainier Trail before beginning the long climb up the High School trail. Just as things start to feel like a grind, the 5 mile runners will take a left and follow gently graded trails through the Tradition Plateau. The half and 50k runners will settle into the quad-hammering climb the rest of the way up to West Tiger #3 Summit then across the beautiful ridge to West Tiger Aid Station.
After flying by West Tiger Aid, runners will enjoy a welcome descent before follow traversing, undulating trails back towards the High Point Way Aid Station. Then its a quick few miles back to the Start Finish. Half Runners will rest their weary legs, while our 50k runners will continue onto a second loop of the half and then the 5 mile loop.
The trails will be open to other users during the event. See our FAQ page for more information about sharing the trails.
There will be aid stations throughout the course with volunteers to help, food to eat, and hydration to refuel. And of course, there will be an assortment of yummy food and treats waiting for you at the finish line.
This is a cupless race. All runners should carry with them a refillable container that they can run with. There will be a limited number of cups for emergency situations.
