Soaring Eagle presented by Arc’teryx Seattle
Soaring Eagle will take you from traffic in the city to trails in the woods. The park’s easy-to-access trailheads and convenient location make Soaring Eagle Regional Park a popular destination for runners, hikers, bikers, and equestrians. Nestled in Sammamish, Washington, Soaring Eagle has over 10 miles of trails, including the well-maintained Pipeline Trail. The Pipeline Trail stretches across the entire park and is wide enough for you, your stroller, your dog, and even a cat if that’s your thing. But the park’s beauty manifests when you turn off onto one of the many small, winding trails jutting from the Pipeline; you could get lost for hours.
Three distances are available for this race: 5km, 10km and half-marathon (13.1 miles).

Race Notes:
As mentioned above, the distances available for this race are 5km, 10kmi and half-marathon. The 5km runners will be on the same course as the longer distances, but it will be an abbreviated version of the 10km loop. Half-marathoners will complete the 10km loop twice – double the fun!
While this course is relatively flat compared to some of our other races, you will need to watch out for large roots and puddles. Be careful when you proceed. Please read our section on the FAQ page regarding safety – it talks about what to do if you get lost or hurt.
The trails will be open to other users during the event, including equestrians, pedestrians and cyclists. See our FAQ page for more information about sharing the trails.
There will be aid stations throughout the course with volunteers to help, food to eat and hydration to refuel. And of course, there will be an assortment of yummy food and treats waiting for you at the finish line.
This is a cupless race. All runners should carry with them a refillable container that they can run with. There will be a limited number of cups for emergency situations.
